Day 15, Out Of The Blue
Some how I have developed a nasty cold. I am achy, I can't breath, and I've disposed of a mountain of used tissues. M I S E R A B L E ! Wasn't the point of all this to feel better and be healthier? That said it's day five smoke free and not even a little cheat. So hooray for me!

Yes, hooray for you! Keep it up Chris, you're doing great!
That cold thing happened to me once when I quit before and I was told that it was because the little hairs in your sinuses (I can't remember what they're called) are starting to stand up and work like they're suppose to. I was told that it would pass but since I had quit cold turkey, my quit didn't last long enough to find out. :(
Hope your cold symptoms pass quickly for you.
Ick, I hate getting sick. The good news is that you are not adding to the problem. I hated how I would always smoke even when I knew it was making the situation worse. Go you, Chris!
I got an abscessed tooth soon after I quit. When I complained about it in a non-Chantix-blog-related online group, I got an email from a lady who *swears* that everyone she knows who quits smoking gets sick in the first week. She thinks it's because our systems are just so wrapped up in not smoking, our defenses are down.
So that must be it for you! Be glad it's just a cold and not a tooth. ;)
Seriously, my daughter just came back from a convention in Atlanta, and she brought back a cold. I hope you feel better soon!
Hope you're feeling better, Chris. Hang in there!
