It is this some sadness that I depart from Portland bound for Seattle. True, I am anxious to see family and my new nephew. Still, I have so enjoyed my all too brief stay in this fine city. Thanks to many who made me feel apart and at home with special shout outs to Maggie and Bob.

Yes, I "white knuckled" all the way up and back first thing this morning. Actually it was not bad at all. Thanks again!
Chris - reading about your trip (both the good and the bad!) is inspiring me to plan a trip to the West coast and take the train to Seattle. As I mentioned before, I am a train "freak" and think I would enjoy this particular route. Hope you have a great time in Seattle and a safe trip back - can't wait to read more about it!
