T-Minus 3 and counting...
September 1 marks my anniversary of being smoke free as I quit on August 31 2007. (Damn leap year.) With a little help (Chantix and fellow bloggers) and a lot of stubbornness I've made it this far and don't intend to, er, quit. Despite challenges like stress (big trigger) and smoky bars and casinos I haven't budged. It really has become easier. Plus I have saved an estimated $2,730.00 - how about that?

Yay for you! How very, very awesome. Will you be doing something to celebrate?
Congrats Chris!
I am on day 63 of quitting, day 76 of Chantix.
Not a lot of side effects, occasional 10 minute nausea, vivid dreams, and an overall feeling of angst. I am normally a very positive person, and I just keep telling myself it is temporary.
I smoked less than a pack a day for 35 years, and was mentally very ready to quit. The Chantix made it pretty easy, though I do have times when the cravings hit.
I think I am over the top, but will continue taking the Chantix for the 12 weeks just in case.
I have saved ~$190 on ciggarettes, but spent $230 on Chantix, so the $$ payback is out there a ways, but that is OK.
My biggest gripe is I sleep too much, methinks it may be a result of no nicotine rather than a side affect of the Chantix.
Keep up the good work.
Kevin
The big day came and went and I don't feel a bit older. ;-) Nothing special, just hanging out and enjoying the perfect summer day.
Many congrats to you, Chris! Seriously, there are not a lot of us that make it, and you still are. That is awesome.
